How To Join

To join the Oil, Gas & Energy Resources Law Section:

(1) Fill out a section membership application, and send the application and a check for $35 (payable to the State Bar of Texas) to Sections, State Bar of Texas, P.O. Box 12487, Austin, TX 78711-2487. (Our phone number is 800-204-2222, ext. 1420, and our email is sections@texasbar.com); or

(2) Visit the State Bar of Texas online to join online using a credit card.

If you have already paid your OGERL section dues to the State Bar of Texas, and need immediate access to the Members Only area of the website, send an email to our Website Administrator at webmaster@oilgas.org. Please include your name, your email address and your State Bar of Texas Bar ID number. We will confirm your membership with the State Bar and email you your log in credentials so that you can log on as a new member.

The Importance of Membership Renewal

Each year after August 1, we will update our database of members from the State Bar's database. Those who were previously members of Oil, Gas & Energy Resources Law Section who have not paid dues for the new year (starting the previous June 1) will, through the database update, automatically be deleted from the members database. To be added back again, simply pay your dues to the State Bar Sections, send an email to webmaster@oilgas.org, and log back in as a new member.
